Postgraduate Diploma Progression Route

University exemptions

This page details university recognition for ABP qualifications. A higher level ABP qualification can provide a fast and affordable route to a Masters degree awarded by a UK university. The progression routes listed below are those which are available to ALL eligible holders of the relevant ABP qualification. However, some centre may have their own arrangement with a university and offer additional progression opportunities. Please note applicants need to ensure that they meet ALL entry criteria stated by the university and should liaise directly with university admissions departments.

ABP Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management

Holders of the ABP Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management will be considered for admission with up to 90 Masters level credits towards an Anglia Ruskin University MBA

ABP Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management

Holder of the ABP Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management, from EU and Switzerland, with relevant managerial experience can apply for the University of Gloucestershire MBA with 80 credits.

Those without relevant experience can apply for the MSc in Business Administration with 80 credits. This is not currently available to students outside the EU or Switzerland.

Holders of the ABP Postgraduate Diploma in Information Systems will be considered for admission with 60 credits (from 180) on:

  • MSc Computer Science

  • Plus other specialist MSc degree options (with no credits).

Holders of ABP Postgraduate Diploma in Business Computing will be considered for admission with 60 credits (from 180) on:

ABP Professional Diploma in Islamic Finance

Holders of the ABP Professional Diploma in Islamic Finance can be considered for admission with up to 60 credit exemptions on to the MIHE Masters Degree in Islamic Banking, Finance and Management. This programme is validated and awarded by the University of Gloucestershire.

ABP Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management

Holders of the ABP Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management can apply to RDI for advanced standing (up to 90 credits) from an MBA, awarded by a UK university. The MBA ‘top-up’ can be completed with RDI by distance-learning. Alternatively, students can apply to study a full-time MBA top-up (awarded by a UK university) in The Institute of Business and Management (IBAM), with campuses in London and Coventry (UK).
