IAM Diploma Level-4

This qualification is recognized as a Level 4 program within the UK National Qualification Framework. Suggested Learning Hours for this Award are 200 hours per unit. This qualification is for individuals who wish to develop their understanding and improve their management skills. It enables individuals to take a systematic approach to organizational and information management.

The Diploma in Administrative Management is accredited as a Level 4 qualification by the Regulatory Authorities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Syllabus aim

The aim of the Level 4 Diploma in Administrative Management is to develop an appreciation of the people-management functions within the organization. This qualification provides a general introduction to the relevance of the systems approach as well as asking candidates to consider administration in its wider organizational context. Candidates are introduced to some of the key concerns faced by administrative managers within a rapidly changing environment. It also develops candidate’s appreciation of the need to manage information.

Assessment

  • Units 1-4 are individually assessed by a three hour unseen written paper comprising two sections A and B.
    1. Section A will comprise eight compulsory short answer questions designed to test candidates’ knowledge and understanding of concepts and terminology.
    2. Section B will comprise a choice of three questions from five designed to assess the candidate’s appreciation of how the systems approach informs elements of administrative practice. A question will be set from each of the four areas of the Learning Syllabus.
  • Unit 5 is assessed by either a Case Study or a Project Report
    1. Case Study examination answering questions based on a realistic scenario which is provided for study in advance.
    2. Project Report, a work based project which is submitted for independent marking to complete this qualification.

  • Apply new management tools and skills

  • Use analytical tools to improve management decision making

  • Organize and communicate with multiple teams

  • Identify and implement change to systems and processes

Entry Requirement

A student must fulfill at least one of the following criteria along with an IELTS score of 4.5 to be allowed entry to the program:

• Possession of an IAM's Certificate Level-3 or equaling Qualification.

• Possession of an IAM's Certificate Level-3 in another subject.

• 12 years of Secondary and Higher Secondary educations from overseas countries.

• Two years senior management experience (students must check with London Waltham College regarding this experience prior to registering for the course).

Home/EU Students: £2000.00 (excluding iam Registration and Examinations fees)

Students with IELTS score of 6.0 and above overall band are awarded 5% discount on course fees.
