This qualification is recognized as a Level 5 program within the UK National Qualification Framework (NQF). Suggested Learning Hours for this qualification are 200 hours per unit. This qualification is for individuals who want to use best practice tools and techniques to manage organizations. It enables individuals to work at a senior level, making and implementing strategic decisions.
The Advanced Diploma in Administrative Management is accredited as a Level 5 qualification by the Regulatory Authorities in England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
The aim of this qualification is to provide a framework and tools for applying the systems approach to managing systems as an integrative activity. The qualification also allows candidates to consider administration in its wider business and environmental context. It introduces candidates to some of the key concepts of higher-level business discourse. Candidates develop knowledge and understanding of the key principles involved in managing organizational resources and to provide an appreciation of the tools and techniques associated with managing finance, projects and facilities. Candidates also develop knowledge and understanding of the theory and practice of managing human resources in the organization.
Units 1-4 are individually assessed by a three hour unseen written paper comprising of a choice of 4 questions from 8. These questions are designed to assess the depth and breadth of candidates’ knowledge of how administrative systems are applied and managed throughout the organization.
Unit 5 is assessed by either a Case Study or a Project Report
Case Study examination answering questions based on a realistic scenario which is provided for study in advance.
Project Report, a work based project which is submitted for independent marking to complete this qualification.
Students have to study the following units during the period of course:
Use business models to design and implement effective systems
Understand and apply strategic decision making skills
Apply best practice in Human Resource Management
Use financial and project management tools
Manage finances and other resources
• Operate comfortably and effectively at senior levels
• Use your knowledge and experience creatively to deliver organizational improvements
• Prove your ability to operate as a senior manager
A student must fulfill at least one of the following criteria along with an IELTS score of 5.0 to be allowed entry to the program:
Possession of an IAM's Diploma of Level-4 or equaling Qualification
Possession of an IAM’s Diploma of Level-4 in another subject
14 years of Secondary, Higher Secondary and Undergraduate Educations from Overseas Countries.
Four years senior management experience (students must check with London Waltham College regarding this experience prior to registering for the course).
Overseas Student: £3800.00 (excluding iam Registration and Examinations fees)
Home/EU Students: £2300.00 (excluding iam Registration and Examinations fees)
