Course Duration

2.5 - 3 Years (Full-Time) and 4 years (Part-Time)

Course Structure

The CIMA professional qualification comprises four levels: Certificate, Operational, Managerial and Strategic.

The programme is divided into fourteen papers followed by TOPCIMA paper. If you start at the Certificate level, the programme typically takes three to four years to complete. During this time, part-qualified students may gain employment in accounting and look towards a professional position in industry or in an accounting practice.

CO 3 Fundamentals of Business mathematics
CO 4 Fundamentals of business economics
CO 5 Fundamentals of Ethics, Corporate Governance and Business Law.

Operational Level: NQF Level 5
E1 Enterprise operations
P1 Performance operations
F1 Financial Operations

Managerial Level: NQF Level 6
E2 Enterprise management
P2 Performance management
F2 Financial management

Strategic level:  NQF Level 7
E3 Enterprise strategy
P3 Performance strategy
F3 Financial strategy

TOPCIMA

Students who have passed all three Strategic level papers you can sit the TOPCIMA.

The TOPCIMA (Test of Professional Competence in Management Accounting) is based upon a case study.

Students who have successfully completed examinations at Strategic and TOP CIMA level are eligible for the award of Passed Finalist Certificate. Passed Finalists may become Members of CIMA after a period of relevant work experience.

CIMA COURSE DURATIONs FOR ALL LEVEL

Course durations for CIMA levels separately will be as under:

  1. CIMA NQF Level-4 16 Months
  2. CIMA NQF Level-5  22 Months
  3. CIMA NQF Level-6  28 Months
  4. CIMA NQF Level-7 34 Months

 

Entry requirements

The CIMA qualifications are open to everyone. Your entry level will depend upon your previous experience. The syllabus builds step by step and you will develop your knowledge and skills as you progress through the qualifications.

CIMA qualifications are similar in standard to undergraduate and postgraduate studies. You will need a good standard of maths and be competent in the English language before you start.

Exemptions

Some relevant qualifications - such as a degree or a professional qualification in accounting or business subjects - may be eligible for exemptions from selected CIMA papers. Please contact CIMA directly for further information on exemption.

CIMA courses are available

Full - Time:

Full time course attendance will typically involve 2 - 3 study days of per week. These courses are aimed at home students who wish to complete CIMA qualifications in approximately 2.5 - 3 years. Full time courses are also suited for international students who need to obtain or renew their student visa. Students on full time courses are expected to attempt a minimum of 3 papers per exam sitting.

Part-Time:

Part time course attendance will typically involve 1 study day per week. These courses are aimed at home students UK/EU and those who are NON-UK/EU need a student visa to study in the U.K.

CIMA courses, full-time and part-time (day) last 3 months and commence in February for May exams and July for November exams. These provide comprehensive tuition followed by a 2-3 day revision course.

Part-Time:

Part-Time courses are offered over 10 weeks .Attendance per exam paper is usually 09:00am to 06:00 pm on week days.

Notice: A course will only be offered if justify by demand. We reserve the right to cancel courses if insufficient number of applications is received. Part- time courses are subject to change.
